5th August – Sunset at the Point

Last night was a fabulous night on my patch..just teeming with southbound shorebirds. A beautiful calm evening just enjoying watching the spectacle…the beach carpeted with Semiplamated Sandpipers and Semip Plovers. Very little variety however, except for the odd Turnstone and the Marbled Godwit we found last week in the mix. Where was the Mongolian Plover or Broad-billed Sand when you need one???
